Rachel Vick, the SSC Graduate Assistant, is a mentor, workshop leader, and conductor of outreach for first generation freshmen. Rachel walks at December commencement with a Master's Degree in Occupational Therapy. She will do her fieldwork in Arizona and Tennessee in Spring 2018 and from there will take her boards to become a certified Occupational Therapist in May. Her favorite part about being a GA in the SSC was watching students overcome challenges. Rachel won the Outstanding Thesis Award in the Occupational Therapy program and presented her research on Occupational Therapy and Metacognition at the College Reading and Learning Association's national conference in November 2017.
